Receptionist:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As the first experience many people have with Harvest, the role of receptionist involves helping people feel cared for and welcome. As a member of the office support team, the receptionist is an integral, important part of our daily church office operations
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Greet guests and staff and announce appointments
● Answer incoming calls and transfer to the right ministry or person
● Promptly manage incoming mail, email and other inquiries
● Order office supplies and keep inventories current
● Maintain neat and tidy office spaces
● Assist in the distribution and re-stocking of communication materials, booklets and related materials throughout the church
● Assist office manager, staff and pastors with clerical tasks and projects
● Provide support to ministry leaders as directed by the Office Manager
EXPECTATIONS
● Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Harvest New Beginnings (Colossians 3:23-24)
● Member or willingness to become a member of Harvest New Beginnings Church
● Work scheduled hours on a weekly basis; additional hours must be approved by Office Manager or Executive Pastor
● Adhere to church approved guidelines as set forth in Harvest Bylaws and Employee Procedures Manual
● Make regular time for solitude, prayer, study, attending church services and the practice of an abiding faith in Jesus Christ in order to fulfill the ministry role of serving God’s people! (1 Peter 4:10)
QUALIFICATIONS
● Highly organized with ability to prioritize and multitask
● Excellent interpersonal skills; prompt in responding to inquiries
● Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
● Ability to keep things confidential
● Ability to adapt to change- flexible
● Proficient in email communication and computer technology
● Comfortable learning and utilizing church software programs
● Flexibility in working with staff and volunteers
● A high level of initiative and the ability to work independently and perform duties with minimal direction and supervision
