M4 Pastor's Conference

Theme

Keep Your Chin Up, Pastor!

The entire 2020 M4 Ministry Enrichment Conference is geared toward encouraging pastors mentally, physically and spiritually. Ministry in the days of COVID-19 has been exhausting, and it is time to gather for refreshment and encouragement!

Speakers

Pastor Scott Poling

Scott can relate. He knows what it’s like to be the only pastor in a very small church answering the phone and opening the mail. He also knows what it’s like to practice delegation and oversight of a larger staff. He understands the pressures of ministry and all the criticisms that come with it. After serving as Senior Pastor at Harvest New Beginnings for 25 years, he has gained a unique perspective on ministry and leadership which allows him to speak into pastors’ lives. He speaks your language.

Scott grew up in and around Ocean City, New Jersey and at the age of 17 received Christ as his Savior. He graduated from Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary and has been married to his wife, Carla for 29 years. They have 5 children ages 13-26 plus one son-in-law and one adorable grandson. Scott’s heart is for encouraging and building up pastors and other leaders in ministry.

Outside of being a pastor, Scott enjoys trail running and hiking America’s national parks.

Pastor Mike Hess

Mike is passionate about learning and teaching the Bible and is currently serving as the National Representative of the GARBC. His call is to encourage, mentor and train pastors. He is a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and has served as a senior pastor in both Illinois and Iowa. Mike has also been blessed to teach God’s Word in various countries including Mexico, Haiti, Colombia, Italy, Israel and Australia.

He grew up in the Chicago suburb of Oswego and came to know Christ as his Savior at the age of 17 through the faithful witness of a high school friend. Mike married his wife, Christina, in 1996 and they are blessed with two children, Joseph and Hannah. He is a graduate of Clarks Summit University and Baptist Bible Seminary.

Along with his focus on ministry, Mike loves to read, travel, spend time with his family and faithfully root on the Chicago Cubs.

What is a One-on-One Discussion?

These appointments are optional and may be chosen during registration.  Our main session speakers sit down with attendees one-on-one for 30 minutes, allowing you time to discuss specific items that affect you and your particular ministry.  If you choose this option during registration, you will receive a follow up form to complete.
